AI on Trial is an interactive installation that parodies AI-driven hiring systems. Participants stand on balance boards and undergo a mock job interview - judged by an AI-like system monitoring irrelevant data like body stability, pressure sensors and clothing colour, with a spinning arrow arbitrarily delivering the verdict. The piece uses absurd mechanics and sharp humour to expose the hidden flaws of algorithmic decision-making - and to ask whether efficiency in hiring is worth the cost of fairness and human judgment.
